Tea Snob

One of the serious highlights of my days is drinking awesome loose leaf tea from Teavana.  I’m super new to tea and always hated it, but its potential health benefits finally got me a few months ago.  I figured, “Why overdose on Excedrin if I can supplement it with something natural instead?”  And thus, a tea snob was born.  I started with tea bags, but one day I passed a Teavana store in the mall, tried all the free samples, and was hooked.

I still drink bagged tea from time to time if I don’t have the flavor I want in loose leaf or if I don’t have time to steep, but loose leaf is my favorite.

It was so nice to come home after vacation today and sit down with an awesome cup of lavender tea with some German rock sugar.  It was exactly what I needed to help me calm down after a busy day.

Oh, and I’m addicted to mugs, so this new tea habit is my long-awaited excuse to buy them.  They used to be reserved exclusively for hot chocolate (I don’t drink coffee), but now I can use them in the summer time for tea!….and still some hot chocolate from time to time.

  1. 🙂 nice mugs, I especially like that one with, Live well – love God! – never saw one like that before!

Tip: why not put them on Pinterest also? “Pin Them” 🙂

    • Sadly, I don’t have Pinterest. I guess I’m not cool enough. I got the Live well love God mug from Mardel about a year ago. Maybe they still have some like it.
